These are some photos of a car I bought during the summer with no paperwork.
As you can see the plate that was bolted to it declared it as XLL 19, however the DVLA have told me that this number relates to
a Sprite, and is still in current use.
The car is based on an early Vitesse chassis with a 2000 engine and gearbox fitted.
The body work is all aluminium, built over a marine ply framework.
As far as I can see it started life teel blue and is now maroon.
I have been told that it was originaly built for the motor museum at Beaulieu however this has been discounted by Michael Ware, the former dirctor of the museum .
Acording to stickers on the body it took part in The Motor Cycling Club Land's End Trial in 1992 & 1993.
If anyone can give me any pointers towards the history of the car I would be most grateful.
Please Email me on bart@theflyingswan.com.
Thanks for your help.
